If you remember a few clicks back, Olaf agreed to let Mary use him in an April Fool's prank.
We Named LiteraryMary Literary Olaf for a day.

We made an official announcement:

We are changing our name to LiteraryOlaf, and handing the controls over to Olaf...
etc., etc...

Olaf was good natured enough to allow himself to be the center of the prank.
It was all in good fun. Some people even decided that was reason to leave Mary.
For good. Again. And forever. Again.

Anyway, it's no joke when I offer a Happy Birthday to Olaf.

Wherever you are, however pissed drunk you get today, know you have friends who know you can write like... well a smelly sack of poop, really.

But no matter. I think I speak for us all in wishing you a very happy birthday,
with many returns of the day.

Happy Birthday Olaf!

A story derives from the writer's perceptive observation and careful report of scene and from structural discipline.

Would it have been worth while,
To have bitten off the matter with a smile,
To have squeezed the universe into a ball
To roll it toward some overwhelming question
To say: "I am Lazarus, come from the dead,
Come back to tell you all, I shall tell you all"

T.S. Eliot
