‘There’s no earthly way of knowing / Which direction we are going / There's no knowing where we're rowing / Or which way the river's flowing / Is it raining? / Is it snowing? / Is a hurricane a-blowing? / Not a speck of light is showing / So the danger must be growing / Are the fires of hell a-glowing? / Is the grisly reaper mowing? / Yes! The danger must be growing / For the rowers keep on rowing / And they're certainly not showing / Any signs that they are slowing!’  -Willy Wonka

Some time last year, Father Luke and I decided to close LiteraryMary, making it registration by approval only.  We had grown tired of babysitting adults who came to tattle on each other and on us, demanding what they wanted when they wanted it like a bunch of spoiled three year olds who needed a good spanking or worse yet, like a bunch of grown adults who needed to get a life.  After some time, we have decided that the time is right to open LiteraryMary’s for open registration again.  However, some things have changed.  No longer will moderators police the forums. In fact, there are no moderators. No longer will Father Luke and I or our other administrators, Sana Rafiq and redperil aka Mr. Lally, answer inbox temper tantrums from members who demand us to do this or that or they will delete their accounts.  Accounts deletion is no longer permitted and LiteraryMary no longer has any rules.  We have become the most dangerous writing forum on the internet, a place for writers to write and debate the craft of writing without having to worry about being banned for saying fuck or cunt or disagreeing with someone for whatever reason.

The official ‘rules’ can be found here:  http://literarymary.com/forum/index.php?topic=10790.0

Previously banned members will be unbanned and allowed to return, if they choose.

For those of you who plan to return or newly register, do not come to LiteraryMary expecting that you will have your ego stroked.  Do not come with the idea that any of the staff will care if you get offended.  Do not come to LiteraryMary if you expect the staff will never offend you.  Do not come to LiteraryMary if you don’t like frank, honest discussion about the craft of writing as it pertains to your work and the work of others.

Come to LiteraryMary if you want to be among real writers, who really write and will be honest with you about your work.  Come to LiteraryMary if you are truly interested in growth.  Come to LiteraryMary if you want to post among individuals who truly believe in freedom of speech.

LiteraryMary.com.  A place for writers.

hodge it think it was. it didn't matter what hte topic was, even children, nobpdy agreed with him.

Oh yah Hodge.  I remember.  I was thinking about him the other day while reading The Beauty Myth.  He was the one who stated that women basically wore makeup, any form of it, or practiced any beauty ritual because they were programmed to do so from birth, but argued that pornography was in no way detrimental to women.

Poor Hodge. The other day I ran across his blog, a tea critique. He showed up once
during the Mirror shenanigans, as I recall. Disagreed with himself, then left.

He liked to project himself as a feminist so long as it didn't get in the way of him jerking off to internet porn.
