I must apologise for not posting a greeting first and formost. My name is Tom and I'm very new to this (as you no doubt have noticed).
I confess I jumped the gun out of impatience; I have never shown anybody anything I have written for pleasure.
I was not expecting any feedback at all to be honest and so I very much appreciate the comments left by Father Luke. Thank you for that it really does mean a lot.
I promise I will take some time to read more of the works posted here and to comment too! I am afraid I am not much of a critic but I will try, I mostly like to just read and all I wanted really was to be read.
So thank you again and again hello.

It's very nice to meet you.  What do you like to write most?  What do you like to read?  Do you prefer waffles or pancakes?

These, which are in a link provided by the introduction letter Jenifer sends out to everyone, and which is usually never read, helps with guidelines for critiquing:

Reading others is a good way to become a better writer.
Sometimes you go blech:  puke

And sometimes you go: Ahhhh! But you always come away
with something. So, read. Learn how to read as a reader, and as a writer.

I've already said welcome, so now I'll sing you a song:

Welcome onboard Tom. Mary is a great place to improve your writing, or just hang out. Don't be afraid to offer critique, sometimes what may appear silly is actually a perspective the writer may not have considered before. We try and offer honest feedback, but if you can take that, you should have some fun.

Hello Tom! I hope you like it here.

Would it have been worth while,
To have bitten off the matter with a smile,
To have squeezed the universe into a ball
To roll it toward some overwhelming question
To say: "I am Lazarus, come from the dead,
Come back to tell you all, I shall tell you all"
