I don't know that Duotrope has ever been properly mentioned at Mary.

Subscription is easy, I get announcements sent to me in my email regularly.

Thanks for posting, Father Luke! I'm Michaela Tashjian (second to last on the list) and I am a huge fan of Duotrope.    It's how I found Crow Toes Quarterly, my favourite magazine which is publishing a story of mine under the name of Rosemary Youngblood.    I blog at rosemaryyoungblood.  blogspot.  com.

Good luck to you--I hope that you find much publication this new year!

Writers write, Michael. If only to poast. Publications, surely, add up over a period of time. Letter by word, by word... A lifetime can see many thoughts written. Hence the title:

He is a man of letters...

...and while perhaps gender specific, that may certainly be adapted to suit the gender.

So, here we are. Writers. Doing that magic thing writers do - using words to perform magic.
Amazing isn't it? The magic that words can do?
