That's funny.  I think I'd rather keep the typewriter and computer separate.  Good typwriters are becoming progressively harder to find.

Another part of punctuation is capital letters and small letters. Anybody can really do as they please about that and in English printing one may say that they always have.

I haven't bought one. I kind of want to have the same combination that they have in the demo--the iPad and the typewriter. Unfortunately that's over a thousand dollars in frivolous purchases. It will have to wait.

I have a very beautiful typewriter that will remain a typewriter. There's something more satisfying in a typewritten letter. Someday I will buy one of those USB ones as a novelty. It would be kind of amusing to unload a huge typewrter at a coffee shop and start clacking away. "Wtf are you doing?" "Why good lad, I'm surfing the World Wide Web!"

This is my typewriter (with the chess set sneaking its way into the photo):

By the way, the chess pieces are all over the place because the typewriter moves them around when I type. Good vibrations.

I don't do any actual writing on a typewriter. I can't imagine keeping track of a novel that way. I type too fast and I change too many things.

I use the typewriter for letters mostly.

I'm perfectly fine with Word. I try not to become too reliant on the nuances of software. I've had a few people recommend different programs but I just can't get into it. I do all my outlining in a blank document or sometimes--in the early stages--on index cards. I just don't want to get too hung up on bells and whistles. Besides, my work needs to be ultra portable. I bring it everywhere. Word (along with dropbox) is perfect for that.

I want it.

I love typing on typewriters but then i have the problem of spelling mistakes and adding in bits and taking things out. its the best of both worlds.

the keyboard i use for writing is old enough so it makes satisfying clacky sounds as i type.
