I just finished Augusten Burroughs' 'Possible Side Effects'.

I am currently reading a book titled 'The Magician's Assistant' by Ann Patchett.

Tell me what you're reading.

Keep in mind, I might use it to update our Facebook page what are you reading thing, but I'm just going to put the book cover up, not ur name.

1,001 Arabian Nights, Volume 1 (of 3, but i dont have the other three yet)its good, though the praise god every three words and the "as the poet said:" every page or so is annoying.
oh shahrazad, you saucy minx.

recently read:

Island of Dr. Moreau, H.G. Wells
-it was good, strange, but good.

Lightborn, Tricia Sullivan
-it was ok, kinda annoying in some parts, story did get confusing at times as there was no real explination to the world the author dumps you in (normally thats fine as they convey info other ways, but a lot was skimmed over)

The Day of the Triffids, John Wyndham
- i enjoyed this book, it was well written and an interesting plotline. from what i had heard from others, i expected something different, but, it was a better book than i had anticipated.

The Road, Cormac Mccarthy
- it was ok, probably won't reread, wasnt as gripping/compelling/horrifying as i was led to beleive, maybe i need to have children first, i dont know. i did find it interesting how the author managed to never give names (though it could be said man and boy were their names) but still manages to keep the characters seperate, even while they are talking (there are no speechmarks)

I am Legend, Richard Matheson
never saw the movie, so didnt really have any preconceived notions, it was a strange book, especially trying to cross vampirism with science, there were things which were never explained clearly which is good for your imagination, bad if you are one of those people who need to know what the author means/though.

there are a few others, but i can't remeber their titles, i went on a reading binge after getting books delivered for christmas. still have books to read from my birthday and still more books to be delivered (yay!)

I'm reading Snow Falling on Cedars, by David Guterson.

Just read The Charlemagne Pursuit, by Steve Berry. It was pretty good.

Before that: Endymion Spring, by Matthew Skelton, which is YA magical fun, based on books.

Coming up:
Imperium, by Robert Harris, which is the first in this Cicero trilogy.

Then an anthology of Sherlock Holmes stories. Never read them!

just finished:

Human Croquet by Kate Atkinson, was a very strange book. I don't really know what to think of it, i think it is the kind of book that needs to be reread to fully absorb it completely.

the Book of Proper Names by Amelie Nothomb, once again, a strange book, i enjoyed it though, i will probably reread it once i get through the large pile of books i still have to read.

Bridge to Terabithia, good book, very sad, made me cry. (not suprised, though, saw the movie and felt the same.) reading it made me whant to improve myself to the point that i can evoke the same response in a raeder.

reading:
Lolita and volumne one of 1,001 arabian nights.
