She is really cute, but that was quite a scare, good health to her!

Register for study-units they say, you can do that on the internet, but the necessary information in order for you to make the right choices in the registration process is stuck on the department noticeboard at university, and well, that'll be a nice day out for sure.

Sending out postal submissions feels so much more business oriented, but in an odd way it's enjoyable.

In the last 24 hours I've gotten two jobs, blew one off because it will always be there if I want it, and I've been invited to submit my writing to three places, submitted a piece to an anthology, perked up my website, damn near broke my ankle -- skinning my knee fucked-up-royal in the process -- watched my relationships melt into something different, in the way that: life tastes different than I thought it would as a kid, but I like it, and a few other things like gone broke, found a bunch of money I didn't know I had, got in touch with a few old friends ...and yes, this is still only one sentence ...and a few more things, which could only translate out to "Business as usual" for me.

Just spent the last two hours sending out requests to those who offered their work to be published in LiteraryMary's 2nd Journal in Print. Thanks to everyone who submitted their hard work. Deciding what goes in is always a tough job. The first Journal has a few left here http://literarymary.com/Journal.htm ...then it'll be gone forever. Just gone.

And fuck you that it's not one line.

i got a letter from the bone marrow registery, saying i was a potential match, called the marrow place, they wanted me in for tests ASAP and seemed pretty convinced i was a really good match, they asked preliminary questions over the phone, then told me i couldn't donate this time because i hurt my neck in the car crash last month, even though it was fine a few hours after the crash, it was too recent apparently.

Three rejection letters in one evening. Conspiracy?

I wish.

Also received one quasi-acceptance letter. They're hoping to publish multiple poems for each poet, so they want to see more of my work. Unfortunately this means I have a lot of editing to do as none of my other poems are at all worthy of being sent to an editor.

And what's with poetry anyway? Fiction is what I want. Like my fiction damn it.

Oh. This was supposed to be in one line.

Let's try again:

I wish there was a conspiracy at work, but alas, receiving three rejection letters in one evening is just the cold teeth of the literary world sinking into my flesh once again.
