My scanner cut off the title a bit.  It says "Jean-Paul Sartre needs to take a chill pill."
A comic about Jean-Paul Sartre

I really like the way you've honed in on the insecurities of the genius. The expressions on the characters faces more than make up for the limited technical aspect of the drawings. Do you think you might be interested in submitting some illustrations for issue 2 of Alligator Stew?

Anyway, this was a pleasure, excellent work! (oh, and tomorrow is pay day, so expect an order for your book)

I think Beauvoir has an awesome expression on her face all throughout. That said, I sympathize with Sartre, or rather, to put it this way: I'm not a fan of Camus. And Sartre looks like very young here, which I find somewhat humourous - a young Commie nerd.

My birthday began with the water-
Birds and the birds of the winged trees flying my name
Above the farms and the white horses
                  And I rose
            In rainy autumn
And walked abroad in a shower of all my days.
High tide and the heron dived when I took the road
            Over the border
                  And the gates
Of the town closed as the town awoke.

I know my drawings aren't great technically, but I do work hard on the expressions.

I would love to submit some illustrations to Alligator Stew!  I don't have many on me right now, but I'm starting to draw more.

I look forward to sending a copy out across the Atlantic. Smiley

That's funny, because I'm a huge Camus fan and I don't really like Sartre.  But I tried to make them both look ridiculous in this comic.  Camus was unfaithful to his wife and Sartre was jealous of Camus for being better-looking than him.  Even great people can be immature at times.
